KPLR 11 “The Vampire Diaries” Summer Book Club Sweepstakes
Official Rules
1. TO ENTER: You must be a U.S. citizen 13 years of age or older and a legal resident of the KPLR-TV viewing area. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes begins Wednesday, July 1, 2009 and ends on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 11:59 P.M. CST (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Participants enter one by logging on to www.kplr11.com, clicking on the Vampire Diaries Summer Book Club Sweepstakes link, completing the entry form and submitting online.
2. SELECTION OF WINNERS & PRIZES:
On or about Friday July 17, 2009, 50 winners will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received. Winners shall be subject to verification and compliance with the rules. Each winner will receive a copy of the first two volumes of “The Vampire Diaries” book series: “The Awakening” and “The Struggle.” The volumes are bound together into one book. (ARV: $9.99) Winners will also be invited to a sneak preview screening of the first episode of “The Vampire Diaries” television series launching this fall on The CW Television Network. Winners will be notified by telephone and winner’s name will be published on the KPLR-TV website. Odds of winning depend upon number of eligible entries received.
3. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and (except as provided by their terms) not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. If any aspect of a prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. Returned or unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. Winner is solely responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use, and prizes will only be delivered within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
4. CONDITIONS & RESTRICTIONS. Entrants agree Sponsors have the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Sweepstakes and that their decision is final and binding. Except where prohibited by law, entrants 18 and older must agree to the following: to allow use of their name, voice, photograph, likeness and any information provided on entry form, in any medium of communication, including print, Internet, radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, by Sponsors and/or its affiliates, without additional compensation. By participating, entrants and winners agree to release and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors, suppliers, and the employees and agents of each from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense, whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death, arising out of participation in this Sweepstakes and/or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize or claims based on defamation, rights of privacy, rights or publicity or merchandise delivery. Sweepstakes Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this Sweepstakes in any way shall be disqualified. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Sweepstakes is prohibited, and entries made thereby may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Sponsors. Sweepstakes is subject to all U.S federal, state and local laws and regulations. Sponsors are not responsible for personal injury of any Prizewinner incurred in connection with the use of their prize. Winner may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to receiving their prize. Entrants 13 years of age and younger, must have a parent or legal guardian agree to all of the conditions and restrictions listed. Winner assumes all applicable tax liability for their prize. 5. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is not open to employees of Sponsors or their immediate family members, or to employees or immediate family of any of Sponsors' affiliated companies, licensees, advertising or promotional agencies.
6. SPONSORS: Sweepstakes is sponsored by KPLR-TV KPLR 11, 2250 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146. Void where prohibited or restricted.
